Here is a link to a summary of where the NM Food & Agriculture Policy Council's legislative efforts stand at the moment.
Here also is a link to our partner organization, the NM Acequia Association's email about legislative outcomes.
Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham has until April 11th to review and sign legislation and the budget. During that time she can veto legislation or line item veto aspects of the budget. Since most of the New Mexico Food & Agriculture Policy Council (NMFAPC) priorities are also those of the Governor's, we likely have much to look forward to. That being said, it is a good time to share our gratitude to the Governor and New Mexico legislators who show their care and commitment in our food and agriculture initiatives as well as our interests in the stewardship of our water and natural resources.
We want to THANK all of you and everyone who worked together in a united voice to share resources, support each other, and collectively advocate for programs and resources that will positively benefit our communities, families, and this beautiful land we live in! |
